As an urban adventurer you can never have too many winter sports options. But here's one you may not have tried yet, speed skating.

The Flushing Meadow Speed ​​Skating Club in Queens welcomes enthusiasts of all skill levels from beginner to advanced. Even if you have limited skating experience but are interested in trying the fastest aspect of the sport, the FMSSC encourages you to come down and give it a try. If you need skates they do offer lenders, just make sure to show up early as supplies are limited and go on a first come, first served basis.
If you're looking to learn the fundamentals, the next session is now the perfect time! Mondays 8: 30-10pm and Thursdays 7-8: 30pm
