Track Racing at the Kissena Velodrome

The Kissena Velodrome is a 400-meter outdoor track in Flushing’s Kissena Park. It’s a place for bicyclists to race and ride with their brakeless track bikes. Pink Rhino Racing hosts an Intro to Track Racing Clinic ($10), Visit the Velodrome site for dates. In this clinic you’ll learn to safely and competitively race your track bike or let them know you’ll need a loaner bike (free). All are welcome, though geared for beginners. Instruction and demonstration will lead to some practice races.

Ride (1.0 miles) south on Kissena Boulevard to Kissena Park
Turn left at Booth Memorial Avenue
Turn left at Parsons Boulevard to Velodrome entrance
F Train
Take the F train to Parsons Boulevard, Queens
Ride (2 miles) north uphill on Parsons Boulevard
Veer left on Kissena Boulevard
Turn right on Booth Memorial Avenue
Turn left at Parsons Boulevard to Velodrome entrance
Bring: Bike, Helmet, Water Bottle, Snacks
