Climbing Rat Rock in Central Park

Rat Rock is an NYC bouldering classic found in Manhattan’s Central Park. This huge piece of schist can be found on the south west corner of the park near the 59st Columbus Circle stop and is best accessed on the 7av entrance. It has two faces with some fun climbs and some of the hardest climbs found in central park, usually identifiable by the white chalk marks. These climbs/problems range from V0-V5 but you could have just as much fun just jumping on and creating your own route. This place is popular, so on the weekends you will find some friendly climbers and their crash pads having at it.
