Inwood Hill Park- Orange Trail Loop

Hiking Inwood Hill Park in Upper Manhattan may have just become one of our new favorite NYC hiking locals. With easy access to one of New York’s oldest forests, rock formations carved by shifting glaciers, a beautiful view of the Hudson River, Native American (Lenape India) Caves from the 17th century and your best chance in NYC to see our national bird the Bold Eagle. There is also a Kayaking launch point, biking path and salt marsh to be explored!

Find your way to Inwood Hill Park and catch the 1.8mile Orange Loop Trail for a little bit of it all. The trail is primarily used for walking, trail running, and road biking but is dog friendly as long as they remain on-leash. The area is well shaded.
