Canoe the Gowanus Canal w/ Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club
Brooklyn Base Camp enjoyed a fun weekend with the perfect outdoor activity, canoeing. Right here in this beautiful borough you can grab yourself a life jacket, paddle and canoe to navigate your way down the Gowanus Canal thanks to the Gowanus Dredgers. Spray painted walls, low bridges and some waves from the locals made this adventure activity that much more enjoyable. Did I mention it was free? (Although we suggest a donation=)
The Gowanus Dredgers Canoe Club is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing waterfront access and education to the public. The more canoes out on the water the more awareness and support for the revitalization of the Gowanus Canal.
